Colocámos as 8pilhas no suporte, de acordo com os pólos negativos e positivos. Posteriormente, ligámos os fios da ventoinha ao suporte das pilhas (o cabo positivo no pólo negativo e vice-versa) e podemos observar o funcionamento da ventoinha. </span></span></div><span style="font-family: "Arial Narrow", "sans-serif"; font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%;"><div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: "Arial Narrow", "sans-serif"; font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%;"><span style="font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", serif;">No entanto, com a ventoinha em funcionamento, observámos que a base não deslizava na superfície. Deduzimos que esta falha se devesse ao excesso de massa que a ventoinha tinha de suportar.</span></span></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: justify;"><br />

A primeira foi, virando o funil ao contrário e colocando um balão cheio de ar no lado tradicional de escoamento(o outro lado fica poisada na bancada). E verificámos que o balão se esvaziava rapidamente (aproximadamente 3 segundos). E notámos uma ligeira diferença, que nos comprovou essa relação, entre a área de escape do ar e o tempo de duração do movimento.</span><br />

De forma a melhorarmos ainda mais as condições para o movimento deste nosso pequeno protótipo lixámos a base de forma a apenas a borda do suporte tocar na superfície, neste caso, na bancada. E, mais uma vez, aquando da experiência notámos também uma pequena diferença, algo significativa, que vem confirmar que o Hovercraft funciona melhor com a diminuição do atrito.<br />

Por fim, enchemos o balão que colocá-mos no gargalo da garrafa e largámo-lo. O resultado obtido foi: o ar do balão encheu a tal bolsa até se esvaziar, mas não conseguimos pôr o protótipo em movimento. Achamos que isso foi devido ao facto do atrito entre a bolsa e a superfície (a bancada) e também, devido, possivelmente a uma errada construção da bolsa- (formato e material). </span><br />

Geralmente um hovercraft tem dois (ou mais) motores separados. Um serve para sustentar, ou seja, é o responsável para o enchimento do colchão de ar, levantando o veículo. O outro motor serve para impulsionar, isto é, mover o hovercraft para a direcção que se deseja. Esta direcção é conseguida através de lemes colocados atrás deste último motor.<br />

O hovercraft foi inventado em 1953 pelo britânico Sir Christopher Cockerell, um famoso inventor e engenheiro condecorado.<br />

Através de uma experiência com um aspirador e dois tubos cilindrícos, este senhor conseguiu demonstrar o princípio do funcionamento de um veículo suspenso num colchão de ar, movendo-se com a pressão do ar a sair. <br />
Mais tarde (entre 1959 e 1961) uma empresa britânica, Saunders Roe, construtora de aviões, construiu o primeiro hovercraft com o objectivo de transportar passageiros, o SR-N1. Ao longo de vários testes foi-se percebendo que o hovercraft melhoraria se fosse colocada uma saia de borracha ou de uma material resistente e flexível, para reter o ar. Esta saia evitaria movimentos bruscos e inesperados. Porém, este primeiro projecto, era constituído por um motor a pistão e só conseguia levar o seu próprio peso e o de dois homens. Então esta empresa continuou a desenvolver hovercraft melhorando o seu tamanho e a sua capacidade, até que em 1961, foi construído o Vickers VA-3, o primeiro hovercraft para transportar passageiros. O grupo é constituído por três raparigas e um rapaz. Como já poderam ter visto pelo nome do nosso blog, o nosso projecto é a construção de um Hovercraft. Esta ideia de criar um blog, foi com o objectivo de mostrar o nosso trabalho ao longo deste ano lectivo e receber, de certa maneira, um feedback da vossa parte.Como alunos do 12º ano e muito pouco experientes em relação a estas materias, poderemos precisar de ajuda para a concretização do nosso projecto.
